DRTV, New Channel & Donor Comm. Officer (-7/29)

 

Department Goals

l  Engage and recruit a large pool of committed individual supporters to ensure the continued growth of the Korea office; development of a strong Korean conservation programme and support of our international conservation programmes. 

l  Develop stable and reliable fundraising channels with strong and diverse income streams.

l  Build and strengthen relationships with a pool of loyal members who are engaged, participate in our programs and are poised to become our biggest champions.

l  Collaborate across teams to achieve WWF Korea’s organizational goals.

 

Major Functions of the Position

l  Manages our (seasonal) DRTV FR activities to recruit individual members

l  Identifies, pilots, evaluates and potentially scales new channels to recruit individual members

l  Manages our member communication to boost member satisfaction and foster loyalty

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director of MC & FR, and in close collaboration with conservation, public engagement, member engagement and FR policy teams.

The officer conducts the following tasks and activities to achieve our goals and objectives.

 

DRTV

l  Manages DRTV FR activities including developing strategy and creative content, coordinating execution, handling internal negotiations/communications, managing budget and invoices and coordinating external partners’ and vendors’ day-to-day management.

l  Tracks performance and coordinates with vendors to maximize conversions at the most cost efficient rate for TV ads.

l  This part of the position may be seasonal focused on the peak end of year season depending on the cost and performance of DRTV campaigns. 

 

New Channels

l  Develops strategies, executes and evaluates new FR channels to recruit leads and convert them into members: identifies and pilots new channels, plans events, develops messages and content, merchandising, lead generation and handles internal negotiation/communications.

l  Identifies, vets, evaluates and manages vendors. Maximizes quality conversions at the most cost efficient rate. (mostly digital with others including media agency, call center, F2F agency, printing, design, mail distribution, etc.)

 

Member Communication

l  Provides feedback on member engagement communications strategies in collaboration with member engagement team.

l  Manages implementation of communications related to member engagement programs, events and activities to enhance member relationships and satisfaction.

l  Develops regular newsletters on WWF activities (monthly Panda Mail and biannual campaign updates).

l  Develops, edits, analyzes and monitors content for members including but not limited to: Thank You messages, reports, communication packages, call s, event invitations, campaign messages and event materials. Impacts members’ brand loyalty and lifetime value and contributes to increasing income for WWF-Korea.

 

Qualification & Experience

Required Skills & Experience

l  Adheres to our mission and values: Engaging, Optimistic, Determined, Knowledgeable

l  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or comparable experience.

l  2 or more years of FR experience at an NGO or corporation with experience in advertising, digital marketing, business process management including strategy development and proposal negotiation.

l  Highly creative with experience in segmenting strategies by target audiences and executing effectively.

l  Understanding of performance marketing, conversion and customer acquisition.

l  Digital skills or experience running digital paid or organic campaigns.

l  Experience in multiple agency management and working with external suppliers to deliver projects.

l  Strong interpersonal, communications, copywriting, negotiation and presentation skills.

l  Strong analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

l  Superior time management skills and ability to deliver on time and on budget.

l  Excellent MS office processing skills.

l  Ability to work in a team and foster team spirit as a team player.

l  Demonstrated interest in and commitment to WWF’s mission and priorities.

l  Self-starter with ability to work independently.

l  Excellent written and verbal Korean skills.

 

Desirable Skills & Experience

l  DRTV, lead generation and/or copywriting experience

l  Knowledge of new platforms

l  Excellent written and verbal English skills

l  Good understanding of WWF field programs and principles of action.

l  Cultural fit with WWF

l  Experience in creating visual communication content a plus

 

Working Relationships

Internal

l  Work closely with Member Engagement, FR Policy and Public Engagement teams, the latter of which is responsible for developing key contents for the public.

l  Realise that some component of assigned work or the work of others, within or outside JD or the digital team, may require teamwork at various levels.

l  You will be expected to work with others in a team for the good of the organisation and towards meeting its conservation objectives.

 

External

l  Vendors, partners, donors, parties of interest, leads.

l  Nurture and maintain positive relationships with WWF-Korea staff members, WWF Network, Korean NGOs, government agencies that have conservation objectives and goals that are similar or complementary to those of WWF-Korea.

 

Type of contract

l  Fixed term (following 3 months probationary period)
