지속가능한 발전에 부합하도록 금융 흐름의 방향을전환하고자 운영되는 Global Sustainable Finance Program바탕으로금융 관련 규제  가이드라인 관련 제언기준 설립지원역량 강화 프로그램 운영  국내 정책제언  다양한이해관계자(은행기관투자자규제기관증권거래소 )와의소통이 주요 업무에 포함됩니다.

Sustainable Finance Practice 소속되어 국내 Program and Partnership 팀과 긴밀히 협력하며 일하게 됩니다.

WWF has identified the finance sector as a key driver of global economic activity with which we must engage to successfully deliver on our long-term conservation mission.

To do this, we work with key finance sector players including banks, investors, regulators, stock exchanges, across six focus areas:

1.   Regulations & Guidelines: We provide recommendations & facilitate dialogue between regulatory authorities & financial institutions (FIs) to raise the bar for sustainable finance at the national & regional level.

2.   Standards: We help FIs understand what makes certain standards & certification schemes credible, to help them ensure that their due diligence & verification processes assure robust sustainability practices.

3.   Capacity Building: We empower FIs through ESG capacity building in both industry-wide workshops & bilateral training sessions. Our trainings cover a range of thematic focus areas, help FIs to better assess & price risk, value companies, develop new products.

4.   Research & Tools: We conduct research, develop best practice guides, benchmark FIs’ progress on ESG integration to ensure timely progress towards a resilient & sustainable financial system. We also help FIs to understand & implement cutting-edge tools so they can better understand, measure, manage evolving ESG risks & opportunities.

5.   Engagement: We support investors to engage with their portfolio companies & exert their influence & facilitate large scale, meaningful change.

6.   Green Financial Solutions: We work with FIs to support the development of innovative green financial solutions based on science-based criteria that create measurable environmental & social impacts alongside competitive financial returns.

The new officer will work with Korea conservation & partnership team.

He/she will develop the Korea finance practice strategy, policy guidance with regulators, research on emerging sustainable finance issues, engagement, capacity building, advocacy with financial institutions, the development of suitable risk management tools, the development of new financial products that support sustainable development.

He/she will work with WWF Asia Sustainable Finance Hub & conservation experts across the network.

 Strategy development & financial market transformation:

Develop Korea Finance practice strategy to identify priority FIs for engagement to secure public commitments that incorporate sustainability into corporate practices in order to shift industry-wide norms & SOPs.

 Stakeholder outreach & relationship management: 

Manage bilateral relationships with key investors (asset owners, asset managers), banks, stock exchanges, government ministries, etc.

to mobilize finance sector players to leverage their power as shareholders, lenders, regulators to drive change in corporate behaviour.

 Campaigns related to sustainable finance policy advocacy:

Constructively engage with financial regulators & finance industry associations to advocate for the development, adoption, implementation of more robust sustainable finance regulations.

In some cases, directly support the development of these regulations and/or provide input & feedback on regulations being developed.

 Research:

Conduct research on ESG issues & sustainability disclosures & asses/benchmark FIs’ extent of ESG integration.

Manage the design & writing of reports & guides to be used to engage FIs.

 Education:

Build capacity for finance sector professionals on how to integrate ESG risks & opportunities into their purpose, policies, processes, staffing decisions, product development & portfolio evaluations.

Work with WWF commodity, climate & water experts to distill insights & knowledge into guidance for the finance sector.

 Communications:

Manage relationships with mainstream finance, sustainable finance, sustainability-focused media outlets.

Write & publish research papers, blog articles, opinion pieces.

Participate in key sustainable finance conferences by speaking on panels & presenting WWF research & tools to raise awareness throughout the region on pressing natural capital & sustainable finance issues.

Fund raising, budgeting, reporting: Develop fund raising proposals & try to secure long-term funding.

Assist in monitoring, evaluating, budgeting & reporting of project performance against planned objectives & deliverables & milestones.

·        Relevant educational qualifications, Master’s Degree preferred, in either finance, economics / environment management;

·        Minimum 4 years working experience in the area of finance, consulting / sustainability, experience working with corporates is preferred

·        Understanding of how environmental concerns relate to material business risks & opportunities;

·        Knowledge of the finance sector levers for change as they relate to sustainability;

·        Ability to analyze ESG issues & to effectively communicate these to FI partners;

·        Ability to prioritize & operate under tight deadlines;

·        Ability to work independently & proactively;

Ocean Program Project (Junior) Officer

Oceans Practice 소속되어 국내 Program and Partnership 팀과긴밀히 협력하며 일하게 됩니다

Protect coastal & marine ecosystem with marine protected area management & improve the sustainability in fisheries & aquaculture farming with priority fisheries so to achieve productive & resilient ocean ecosystems, sustaining human well-being & conserving bio-diversity

He/she will work as a member of the Program Team under the supervision of the Program Manager, but is expected to work with a high degree of anatomy & initiative. Working closely with the Program Team members, he/she will engage in implementation of various projects & the program activities, especially the projects designed to – but not limited to these;

1. Promote the sustainable fishing practices in the domestic & distant water fisheries of Korea; &

2. Prevent, deter & eradicate illegal, unreported & unregulated (IUU) fishing activities involving fishing vessels, businesses & other stakeholders in the domestic & export seafood value chain & to improve traceability & transparency of the seafood produced, processed & traded therein.

To ensure the timely & successful delivery of the project outcomes & deliverables, he/she is expected to leverage his/her knowledge & skills in cooperating with members of WWF International & Korea’s Office & engaging in external stakeholders

Working as a member of the Program Team, the Project Officer is responsible for;

 Organizing & convening in-person & virtual meetings with key stakeholders e.g. fishing companies, cooperatives, seafood processors/traders/buyers/retailers, government officials, NGOs

 Implementing & co-designing communication activities to increase the public & consumer awareness,

           Keeping track of & monitoring in changes in fisheries-/fishing-related policies at the Korean government agencies, Regional Fisheries Management Organizations, International Maritime Organizations, UN Food & Agriculture Organizations & other relevant national/international organizations & agreements

 Implementing & co-designing research & analysis to support the implementation of the projects & the overall Ocean Program, / as integral parts thereof

Liaising & maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders mentioned above

·        Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in fisheries management, fisheries science/other environmental policy/science related to fisheries & oceans in general;

·        Years of professional experience in marine & fisheries conservation, policy, law, environment & development / marine/coastal resources management are preferred

·        Experiences in working in government agencies, pelagic fishing companies, seafood processors/traders/buyers/retailers / other relevant organizations are preferred.

·        Extensive knowledge & understanding of major marine conservation issues including fisheries impacts & management, international marine law & governance & community based marine resource management.

·        Good understanding of the links between marine conservation & issues such as climate change, sustainable development, international trade;

·        Experience in working with governments, corporate sector, aid agencies, civil society, NGOs;

·        Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills in English & Korean

·        Strong research & analytical skills

Market practice of conservation programs works to accelerate corporate engagements & assist reach out of conservation practice programs. Under the supervision of corporate partnership leader, design & execute the corporate engagement programs & interactions with science   & solutions so to assist conservation practice programs.

Plan & Execute the Conservation Market Engagement

§  Plan the market engagement strategy & programs based on communication with conservation programs & corporate partnership team.

§  Design the multilateral corporate engagement programs through bilateral & multilateral partnership programs so to assist conservation programs (across practices).

§   Manage the delivery of conservation corporate engagements for variable types of engagements.

§   Manage the key accounts relationship & support corporate engagement events & communications.

§   Closely work with partnership team & conservation program team.

The Conservation Market Engagement Officer in market engagement team works in Seoul, Korea.. & working as a full time member of conservation & partnership team.

Under supervising of corporate partnership team manager, he/she is responsible to

 Plan the market engagement strategy & programs based on communication with conservation programs & corporate partnership team under supervision of senior director of conservation & partnership.

 Design the corporate engagement programs in detail (purpose, deion, approach, target companies, operation plan) both of bilateral & multilateral partnership programs so to assist conservation programs across practices.

 Co-work with conservation program teams in variable types of corporate engagements as round tables, workshops, conferences, project engagements.

 Develop the target corporate list for specific programs & develop the new engagements of corporate through proposals, meetings, other activities.

 Manage account relationship with key accounts for each programs & support corporate engagement events & communications.

 Periodically revisit market engagement programs with conservation team & partnership team so to align with organization strategy.

 Supports the ideation new seafood/climate market initiatives for the WWF conservation & partnership team objectives.

 Liaises with external stakeholders including but not limited to academics, NGOs, industry groups, foundations in order to support partnership project development & implementation

 Monitoring & evaluation related initiatives & activities & keep update with a current industry trend for sustainable market transformation

Energy Transition Program (Senior) Officer

화석연료로부터 재생에너지로의 전환을 중심으로 에너지 고효율화에너지절약을 포함하여 운영되는 Global Energy Transition Program 바탕으로하여국내 정책제언  다양한 이해관계자와의 소통을 주도해 나가게됩니다

국내 에너지 전환 프로그램 전략 수립 운영다수의 이해관계자 참여를 이끌  있는 콘퍼런스/라운드테이블 개최 운영이 주요업무에 포함됩니다.

Climate & Energy Practice 소속되어 국내 Program

 & Partnership 팀과 긴밀히 협력하며 일하게 됩니다

Mitigate climate change through commitment of ambitious & science based targets of greenhouse gas emission reduction & scale up the renewable energy transition from fossil fuels so to achieve the equitable & just transition that limits warming to 1.5°C, protects people & biodiversity & builds a climate resilient future.

Program senior officer designs the strategy & critical contribution outcome of the Program at WWF-Korea aligned with global practice goal & strategy. Also he/she takes responsibility of communications & reporting as a focal point of the Practice.

Under the supervision of Korea Conservation Director, senior officer coordinates all activities of the program including planning & managing implementation, tries to develop projects to secure funds of the program running, leads project delivery & design related initiatives to achieve goals & outcomes of the program. He/she represents scaling up the energy transition to renewables so to mitigate climate change to both internal & external stakeholders & partner relations with government, private sector & civil society for the objectives (subject to be adjusted) as follows:

Make influence that Korean government phase out coal & oils & transit to renewable energy so to achieve the Paris Agreement’s goal.

Motivate Korean companies participate at Rights to Renewable Energy initiatives & plan & execute the energy usage from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

Senior Officer of Energy Transition Program

 Design & execute the Korea Energy Transition Program strategy:

Design & execute the Program strategy to support & achieve the Korea office strategic objectives aligned with WWF global strategic outcomes & collaboration with climate & energy leaders across the network

 Design & deliver the Korea “Energy Transition” positions & key messages:

Design & deliver positions & effective key messages for communications with corporates, governments & cities so to motivate market shifts & movements in energy transitioning to renewables thorough consideration of the Practice positions & local circumstances

 Engage with corporate & public sector:

Build effective partnerships with key stakeholders including those from corporate, government & NGO sectors in order to achieve strategic outcomes.

Manage collaboration based on technical program knowledge & insights with corporates, governments, other NGOs

 Internal & external communication:

Represent WWF Korea in relevant renewable energy transitions & coal phase out in national & international fora.

Act as a WWF spokesperson on energy issues in various forums & media. Pull attention & collaborate with marketing & communication team through explanation of program’s activities & messages

 Work for fundraising: 

Information gathering of funding opportunities through collaborate with international network team & corporate partnership, develop proposals & try to get the funds through conversations so to secure stable on-going program activities with qualities

 Lead project delivery in Energy program:

lead whole project lifecycle from project planning to successful delivery of scope of works agreed & achieve project objectives & outcomes.
