Under the overall guidance of the Programme Coordinator and direct supervisor of designated supervisor if applicable, the Programme Associate provides support ensuring effective delivery of programme activities by entering and managing data related to finance, procurement and recruitment while supporting programme implementation consistent with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) rules and regulations.

The Programme Associate can supervise clerical and support staff of the Programme Unit. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff in Global Maritime Crime Programme ( GMCP) and the Indian Ocean East Team and UNODC as required for resolving complex finance-related issues, procurement, recruitment of expertise/consultants and exchange of information.
