This position is located in the Support and Sharing Section (SSS) of the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism to assist in the investigation and prosecution of persons responsible for the most serious crimes under International Law committed in the Syrian Arab Republic since March 2011 (IIIM). SSS coordinates cooperation agreement negotiations and immediate support to competent jurisdictions through the facilitation of ongoing investigations and prosecutions. The incumbent will be under the overall supervision of the SSS Senior Legal Officer and under the direct supervision of a P-4-Investigator. The incumbent will be responsible for planning and conducting investigative activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team of legal officers and analysts charged with providing immediate support to ongoing investigations and prosecutions by competent jurisdictions in response to requests for assistance.
